If there is one thing we have learned from the ScrapBox community, it is that creativity comes in many different forms. We are so excited to introduce Eugenia, a fun-loving beauty blogger who uses the WorkBox to organize all of her beauty products! 

Tell us more about geniabeme! When did it all start and why? 

I started my blog in 2009 while I was working my first 9-5 job as a personal assistant. I had a lot of down time and I was always shopping so I decided to start writing reviews on different beauty items I would use. I really didn’t think anyone would read my reviews, I just did it for fun. I started getting emails asking for opinions and more product reviews so I started to do more!

Tell us about the behind the scenes. What does a typical day look like for you? 

I do anti-money laundering consulting for various banks. I work remotely at home and I can set my own hours so I like to get my work done earlier. I usually start working my day job at 7am. During my lunch break I will do my makeup and test out new products. At this time I’ll also take some pictures and spend some time looking through Instagram (my favorite social media platform!).

After I do all of that and try to convince my boyfriend to meet me somewhere for lunch, I finish my work for my day job. After that I usually make dinner for the family (my boyfriend’s 3 kids live with us full time). After dinner my boyfriend will clean up and I will get some blogging time in. At 8pm I then go to the gym or my boyfriend and I will spend some quality time that doesn’t involve the internet! We usually play a table top game or watch a movie!

What are some of your other hobbies or interests?  

I love makeup BUT I LOVE FOOD. I also run an Instagram just for my food adventure (@geniabemefood)! I also love to sew! I am thinking about getting another ScrapBox to keep all my sewing items! I also sometimes like to go scuba diving when the boyfriend goes.

How long have you had the WorkBox? What was the initial appeal for you? 

I think I’ve had mine for about 5 months now. I just loved how the storage space went vertical so I could put more stuff in it without wasting space. I also liked the idea that I could close the whole thing if I ever needed more room. Realistically though, I NEVER close it, I don’t have a need to and I like the way it looks open!

How did you store all of your beauty products before the WorkBox?  

Um… they were everywhere. They were on a table, in drawers, on the floor, on my work desk, on the kitchen counter, EVERYWHERE!

What is your favorite thing about the WorkBox? 

I like how everything is open and see-through. When I had things in drawers before, I didn’t see them so I forgot about a lot of them!

Did you ever picture yourself doing what you are doing now? What would you say is the best part about what you do? 

I never wanted to blog full time. I love doing different things. I like having a day job and then having an outlet where I do make some extra cash while I can be a little creative too! The best part about blogging for me is meeting new people! I have met some of my closest friends through blogging!
